A great find with such an unusual shape and detailing, this really lent itself to an elegant and classic look.
Paint Process:
Painted all over the body with only a touch of texture in Midnight chalk paint, a lovely colour if you don't want something harsh but do want depth and elegance. Tinted wax in Cloudburst and Victorian black has been applied to enhance the natural texture of the original finish on the base of the piece. The top has been painted in Victorian black and top coated in clear wax. A think gilded edge around the top added with Brushed Iron Gilding wax.
